The Sumner Citizens Association has contributed another $5,000 to the SaveWestbard legal fund. At its meeting in early November, the Board of Directors decided that further support of the litigation opposing excessive development for Westbard was in the best interest of the Sumner community and would not affect SCA’s operations. We decided to ask the members of the Association for their views about the contribution. A poll was conducted on the SCA website on Wild Apricot (www.sca.wildapricot.org) and during the week that it was open, we reminded members and offered help in using the poll website.
At the present time, there are 227 members eligible to vote. Of those, 101 participated and 82 members supported the Board’s decision to make the additional contribution.
On behalf of the Board of Directors, I thank those who participated and told us what they think of the Board’s decision.
Happy holidays!
Rich Landfield,
President
