Two organizations in our community -- the Glen Echo Height Citizens' Assn. (GEHCA) and District 1 Neighbors (D1N.org) -- are co-sponsoring a community event:  A talk on Gun Violence in our Schools & Community.

Date:  Sunday, March 18
Time:  3:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Location:  Washington Waldorf School, 4800 Sangamore Rd., Bethesda, MD 20816

The sponsoring organizations invite you to join them and their members for an open discussion of gun violence -- what can be done to prevent it, what steps are being taken to protect our children in school and our community as a whole, and what can be done in the face of seemingly insurmountable resistance to take action at the various levels of our government. Invited panelists include: - A High School student - Two first responders: a representative from the Montgomery County Police; and a representative from the Montgomery County Fire & Rescue.
